Mom's End Of Life costs for Beverley J Maier

Donation protected

My mother lost her life January 9th 2020 after several years of illnesses. We had moved back into the family home in 2007 to help her with a multitude of doctor appointments and treatments which ranged from sepsis poisoning to congestive heart failure, lung cancer and eventually strokes resulting in severe brain damage. She was hospitalized in September of 2017 and sent home a few days later with in-home care provided to help us to help her. In December she lost her first grand-child, my daughter Toni to the MRSA virus and she was devastated. Taking refuge from her agony we traveled to California for the holidays but unfortunately on Christmas Day was hospitalized in northern California for the next 3 ½ weeks. Then sent home she returned to a local hospital for nearly 4 months, then was sent to a specialty care center in late April 2018 where she remained until her death recently.

At one time my mom had been the real estate developer who built most of her neighborhood in 1971. A business owner and community leader my mother Beverley J Maier and my dad never once were on welfare or unemployment compensation. She always worked if she was able.

Over time our dad got COPD and passed away in 2005 leaving mom with nothing but the house she and dad had built for them in 1971. It has been a struggle for me just to keep up the nice family home and yards, garden and travel the thirty miles to the nursing home three times a week to be with mom, for whom I became the legal guardian in 2018.

Mom and I were both on Social Security and I work part time in the music business mostly local. In hers and my fathers honor I am trying to pay off her  debts and a  small balance on the family home. The entire debts including funeral directors' fees and legal expenses are just  under the goal amount posted by a few dollars.  At this update we have raised about 18%  including donations in person.  Thank you and may God Bless you all for your help!
When mom was still at home, just after the congestive heart failure recovery she loved to have her little pal " Sparky " at her side ! The little Boston Terrier, her third, passed away just before the last illness struck her in 2017

She was a lover of animals, especially dogs and usually bought home a pup from the shelters. Beverley Maier was a a volunteer and worked very hard in a group helping to find missing and exploited children. There were so many places where she helped raise money and worked for the disadvantaged .

I ask you from the bottom of my heart to help us pay off my mom’s debts, cover funeral arrangements and save the family home in her honor so we can continue to protect that which she loved and worked so hard to keep.

The funds are needed badly as soon as possible. Many people who know me understand how hard I work to volunteer, raise money for good causes as often as I am able. In the past I have raised money for Hurricane Katrina, The American Cancer Society, Haiti Relief Fund , Paradise California ( was called Paradise California Super Jam NW and all proceeds went to the North Valley Community Foundation in Chico, California).

Now, I'm humbly asking for your help

Thank you
