Mommy and Daddies early miracle

Hello! I am Dalton’s sister, Caroline’s aunt and godmother, Lauren. With his permission, I am creating this as a surprise to Alexiss so finances are the least of parents’ worries so they can physically, mentally, and spiritually heal together.
Caroline Marie Dawn Ballard made her VERY feisty early entrance on Friday morning, September 16th, 2022. Almost 3 lbs and 15 inches, only at a whopping 28 weeks. She’s still in NICU, but making great progress! Alexiss and Dalton went into a basic baby check Thursday morning, but wasn’t prepared to be admitted for an overnight observation with blood pressure and potential septic issues, only to end up getting transferred around 3:30 AM, with our arrival around 4:15 AM, then rushed into an emergency c-section where Caroline was born at 6:31 AM. Alexiss was just taken off intubation earlier than expected this morning as of 9/17/22, but is still in the ICU healing, already working with physical therapy. Although sweet Caroline continues to do well, she will be there for the next 6 weeks minimum, and even then, she has to pass a lot of checks just to be able to go home! Alexiss has a long road to recovery as well since she just got over the flu/Covid at the same time + an appendectomy just a few weeks ago that made her high risk. She will be off work for a while to say the least! My brother, Dalton will be off for a bit as well. It will be a long road for them. They are so incredibly loved and brave. They have done so great. Being present for how fast this was has been overwhelming to say the least, especially for her and my brother. Even by just sharing to show your support, I just want Alexiss to see how loved she is. Caroline is fierce, just like here momma! Whenever you read this, just know how much I adore you and will never stop telling you enough how proud I am of the woman you are today. Like I said, I cannot stop talking about how proud I am of my brother and her!
Thank you guys so much for the healing energy, the love, positivity, and prayers. We still need all we can get for a while! ❤️ This is routed directly to Dalton and Alexiss, I just did the rest.
