Mommy of large family in hospital

On Friday 6/30 while getting ready to take my kids to a softball party and then go to work I fell down the stairs breaking my tibia and fibula and dislocating my knee. I had my first surgery 7/1 and got an external fixater. I will be having surgery again in a couple days once swelling goes down to attempt to fix the breaks internally but may need a 3rd surgery. After I leave the hospital I am supposed to go to an acute rehab facility and I’ll be off work for around 8 weeks. I have been at my job almost 3 years and they do not offer short term disability so I’m at a loss as our family has 6 kids that will be going back to school next month and my husband being the only one working now plus needing to pay for a babysitter since I won’t be there we cannot afford things on one income. Anything helps us! I am currently at grant hospital.
