Hey everyone.
I have posted on @momobuns IG about Momo's story, so if you are familliar than you may already know, but Momo had recently started limping and not putting her weight on her back leg. We took her to the vet and they found a hard, large lump there but they were not able to determine what that was with the tests they took. We took her to get an Xray and a CT scan, and we just got results that not only is the lump cancerous, but they will have to take the whole leg (Amputation) as the cancer is stuck to the muscle/bone in the leg. Momo is a beautiful and sweet soul who went through so much in life, from being abused in the hands of a previous owner, allegedly being forcefully bred in a puppy mill, to being rescued by the RSPCA, and finally finding a forever home with us. Despite all this she has always been such a good girl, always happy and she definitely doesn't deserve this ordeal. I am really heartbroken.
Momo has lessened her limping but we noticed that the lump is getting bigger so we have to take action as soon as possible. The estimate of the surgery is projected to be 8k (possibly more since it is an estimate). We have already spent thousands on all her tests leading up to this and a previous surgery. If Momo has any further treatments needed I am completely screwed. I hate asking for help and I've never made a gofundme before but this time since its pretty dire, and with the help from all you lovely friends, I have decided to go through with opening this gofundme. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate all your kind thoughts and support.
