Help Mona get her life and home back after a massacre!
Hello,
I understand that many of you have read numerous stories about the tragedies of the ongoing war in Gaza, where families have lost their lives. However, today we face a horrifying tragedy that defies description. The family of Palestinian citizen Musbah Hussein Hamad (known as “Abu Mohammed”) residing in Al-Nuseirat Camp fell victim to a gruesome massacre.
The place: Al-Nuseirat Camp, Neighborhood 1

(The whole family was buried in a mass grave because they were turned into pieces, which made it difficult to identify their bodies!)
The sole survivor who was in the house during the attack is Mona Musbah Hamad (39 years old). She witnessed the horrifying scene as her family members’ bodies were torn apart by the missile explosion. Volunteers managed to rescue her from under the rubble, but she suffered severe injuries. Her left foot was amputated upon arrival at the hospital. She also sustained serious abdominal injuries, leading to the removal of her spleen and pancreas. Additionally, she suffered multiple fractures and severe tears in her remaining three limbs, with significant damage to nerves and ligaments in her left hand (visible in the photos).

(Mona needs bone grafting and internal fixation surgeries for her three remaining limbs, as this cannot be done under the current circumstances in Gaza due to the lack of resources. This requires her to go outside the Gaza Strip for treatment.)
After assessing her critical medical condition, doctors recommended that Mona continue her treatment abroad. She urgently needs delicate nerve and ligament surgeries, especially after the removal of her spleen and pancreas.
As for their home, it was once a warm and modest place filled with memories. It witnessed three generations of the family since their displacement from Al-Mughar village in the Ramla district to Gaza after the 1948 Nakba. However, today, the house lies in ruins, and what remains of the family cannot return to live there.
I invite you to contribute to repairing what can be fixed in the house and supporting Mona’s treatment abroad. To achieve this, I’ve launched a fundraising campaign to help with Mona’s rehabilitation, preserve her life, and restore the house so that she and her surviving family members can return to live there.
(This is how the house was transformed after it was bombed by aircraft!)
The donated funds will be allocated as follows:
- $50,000 will be dedicated to Mona’s treatment in a European country due to her complex medical condition and the lack of available treatment in Gaza, where all hospitals have been targeted, and essential medications and medical staff are in short supply.
- Another $50,000 will be used to rehabilitate the house after removing the rubble and construct a small home for Mona and her brother, allowing them to rebuild their lives after this tragic ordeal.
Your contribution can make a significant difference in their lives. Thank you for your support.
