Mondragon Trip Go Fund Me Campaign 2023
We’re a network of cooperative business owners in Cincinnati. This April we hope to travel from Cincinnati to Spain, to learn from Mondragon, the largest industrial cooperative in the world, and we need your support to help cover the costs for this historic trip! We currently have $6.4k from the Haile Foundation and are trying to raise a total of $20,000 to provide full scholarships to send 7 worker owners in our network. With your help we can cover the full cost and send as many folks as possible.
Our goal is to adopt the democratic, resilient economic model developed by the Mondragon Cooperative Corporation. Since being established in 1956, Mondragon has transformed a region with a population size similar to that of Greater Cincinnati. Today Mondragon employs 80,000 people in a network of 95 worker-owned businesses and is one of the largest corporations in Spain. Mondragon’s model has a proven record of fostering economic equality, resilience, and long-term growth. By adopting this model, we can create a more equitable and resilient economy here in Greater Cincinnati, building long-term community wealth.
Simply put, Mondragon is everything that our network of worker-owned cooperatives in Cincinnati hopes to be! Please help us make the most of this historic journey by supporting us today!
Our workers are the hardest working people we know and we want to send them with every resource possible. With each $20 dollar donation, you will help cover the cost of one of the daily meals. $50 Dollars covers the cost of one night stay in a shared room. $100 dollars will cover the daily transportation costs for each worker.
Thank you from the Bottom of our hearts
