My name is Kelly Huff and below is my child hood friend that is struggling mentally, physically and financially. She has recently lost her job and her precious daughter is 17 and about to finish her junior year at Blanchard High School. Lori and I have been friends since we were 15yrs old. She has recently lost her job that she has had for 28 years. She needs some temporary help. If you can give ANYTHING for my friend and her daughter I would appreciate it very much!!!!

Health conditions: October of 2007-Diagnosised with Multiple Sclerosis and Migraines but was manageable through medication, exercise and medical treatments until September of 2020

Relapse of MS that has caused the brain to not connect to left eye that results in vertical shaking. The vertical shaking leaves me feeling like I am on a zero gravity carnival ride that I cannot get off of which causes mental confusion, migraines, loss of vision in left eye but is moving into right eye and I have lost most of my ability to comprehend what I am reading and I am not able to retain new information. The right side of my face droops from time to time and I stutter and slur my words. I was prescribed Mavenclad which is a four treatment process that can only be give to patients once in their lifetime. The 3rd and 4th round was prescribed in November and December of 2022 and the large amount of steroids caused complications and I did not improve but instead caused my symptoms to get worse and has caused my other health conditions to worsened. On March 13, 2023 my neurologist at the MS Center and two other specialist I see advised me to file for disability and took me off of work. I was also told by my neurologist that she doesn't see my health going back to the same capacity mentally or physically as I once was.

No longer working

Exhausted all of the allowed Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) hours that the law allows and went into leave without pay status which allowed my employer to terminate my employment after 28 years of service in Oklahoma State Government.

Waiting on DHS and Disability decision

I filed for State Short Term Disability and Social Security Disability. It is going to take several months before I receive a decision, state disability in a few weeks which will only payout $2100.00 a month before taxes, and Social Security disability may take 7 to 9 months.

Last paycheck received was on 4/27/2023 which only covered past due utilities. Only income coming into the home, is from a part-time job that Emilee works at the local grocery store in our hometown of Blanchard. I was only able to pay partial rent for the month of April in the amount of $700.00 but still owe my landlord of $700.00; May rent of $1400.00 is due May 5th and my landlord notified me last Friday that if I don't have all of the rent on May 5th per lease agreement, I have 30 days to find another place to live and I am not in a physical or mental state to move at this time. Asking for help until I am able to receive disability.

I have also filed for assistance with DHS but is pending approval

Have not received child support in over a month and do not see him paying anytime soon
