Mourning for the Morey's
Donation protected
On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Chris suffered a brain aneurysm and was declared 99% brain dead the next morning. Chris leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Chatney, and their 14 children. Chris is a 22-year retired veteran of the United States Navy and recently started a new job at Aqua Bounty Farms.
Chris grew up in California and through his Naval Career, he and his family were stationed in San Diego, Japan, and lastly, Virginia Beach. After retirement in 2016, the family relocated to Muncie, Indiana where they are members of St. Anne Catholic Church and their school-aged children attend Cowan Elementary and Cowan Jr./Sr. High School.
The family has agreed to donate his organs in hopes to help others have a second chance in life. As the sole breadwinner of the family, this unexpected tragedy will cause a financial burden not only now but for the remainder of their lives. I hope this go fund me page will help elevate that burden and provide some solace during this unimaginable time.
Thank you!
