Muppets to Mongolia Fundraiser

Chris Lappage and Ian Orchard are driving to Mongolia in a 1ltr, 20year old Nissan Micra for charity..... What a pair of Muppets!! The Mongol rally will take us from our home in Southampton, through 20 or more countries and over 10,000 miles, into Mongolia and the finish line in Ulan Ude in Russia. There are no support vehicles, no official route and no one to hold our hand. A true challenge and adventure.  We aim to raise at least £500 for our favourite Southampton charity SCRATCH, who provide services which relieve the effects of hardship, disadvantage and poverty for individuals and families living in Southampton and the surrpunding area. Everywhere you go there are people living on the streets, I'm always hearing stories of people having to use food banks and who are unable to live normal healthy lives. SCRATCH help where they can, food parcels, clothes, furniture, even painting and decorating can help to get people back on their feet. SCRATCH need our help and your support please, to enable them make a difference in Southampton We are also raising £500 for Cool Earth, a charity that help indigenous people all over the world. After we raise the £1000 we plan to split any more 50/50 to help us with fuel, visas, breakdowns etc.  Please help us raise some much needed funds for two very worthwhile charities and maybe a little bit for two Muppets who decided to leave there wife's with normality, for a few weeks to do something truly memorable!!
