MONICA CAPPS

Most of you know me. I'm Jackie Murrell Sankowski, and most of you know that Monica Capps suffered a brain aneurysm on October 26, and was flown to MUSC in Charleston where she remains. Monica is still intubated and sedated, but continues to improve daily; nodding and squeezing her brother's hand and acknowledging nurses on command. Meanwhile , medical bills are mounting, and Monica relies entirely on herself to maintain her household for she and her son; making and selling crafts and furniture peices. A brain injury is difficult. Recovery for Monica will be long and trying. It is my hope that we can all help to ease her stress by raising some money to maintain her household until she is able to return to her old self. While those of us who know her know it will be hard for her to accept charity, we also know that this is a very difficult situation and help is required to maintain her bills and household for she and her son Jeffrey.
