Hello, my name is Cristina, and I am trying to help my sister and her family in need during these difficult times.

Unfortunately, they were helped by an immigration lawyer who did not do an adequate job and caused a hardship not just emotionally, but also financially which created a broad range of challenges. Jose Luis has been absent from the lives and memories of their kids for almost a year now. Due to their situation, some changes in their family's income occurred and caused a financial deficit, which has made Monica obtain a second job. This has further isolated my nieces and nephew from their parents.

Due to so much uncertainty on the outcome of his case, she has not fully sold all her belongings and has continued to live in their home. We are hoping for a good news and that Jose Luis will be reunited with his family. Unfortunately, it’s just a matter of time.

In the meantime, being a single parent caring for three children along with household responsibilities has not been easy for her. I decided to create this fund to give Mónica and her family a little bit of help, so she does not feel so stressed out financially, relieve some of her tension, and have extra money to create a positive memories during this nightmare they are living in.
