Dear Friends and Family,

It is hard to believe it has been 4 months since Monica’s passing. As we approach the holidays, I wanted to send an update and a renewed request for assistance. The assistance provided to date has been a tremendous help and I thank all who contributed, but the financial burden continues to mount, and exceeds $90,000.

Throughout her life, Monica touched the hearts of everyone she knew with her love, kindness, generosity and infectious smile. Her entire life was dedicated to helping others, and spreading hope and joy, and her absence, especially during this first holiday season without her, has left an immense void in our lives. While we continue to mourn her loss, we are reminded of the significant financial burden her medical expenses have placed on our family, and that burden continues to come into view.

During her battle with cancer, Monica underwent numerous treatments, procedures, surgeries and medical interventions which were critical in her fight against this debilitating illness. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, her medical expenses have accumulated leaving us struggling to cover the overwhelming costs. Monica required full time care, and I set aside my work in order to make sure she got the absolute best care possible, so that means I have had no employment for over a year. I have also had a number of health issues of my own that I did not address while I was caring for Monica.

I have also now taken the steps of eliminating as many outside expenses as possible in order to facilitate the payment of these expenses, including moving in with family and selling a number of personal belongings, which I will continue to do.

That is why I am reaching out to you through his continued effort, seeking your support and contribution towards helping us alleviate this financial burden. I understand that times are tough for many individuals, but any amount you can offer will go a long way in honoring Monica's memory, and easing the financial strain during this challenging time.
