Support Monica's Family
Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 11, after a long and courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer, Monica Mitchell-Giraudo, the love and light of her husband Olivier's life, joined the angels and is soaring high in Heaven. She went quietly surrounded by family and loved ones. She passed at 10:47 a.m., the precise time that her daughter Marla was born just 14 years earlier. While our hearts are broken and spirits heavy, we know that Monica is now finally at peace in a body that is perfectly pain-free.
There will be a service celebrating Monica’s life on Saturday, September 14, 11:00 a.m. at South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church, 8601 Bryant Farms Road, Charlotte, NC. We hope all who knew and loved Monica will join us. She requested that all who attend wear yellow because it was her favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Teal Diva Ovarian Cancer Support Organization. Donations may be made online at: https://www.tealdiva.org/. Those wishing to directly support the family may contribute on the Go Fund Me page that was set up long ago at the beginning of Monica's long, grueling battle with Ovarian Cancer.
