Monica Vasquez, needs a rare $6,000 surgery

Hi, my name is Tatiana Gonzalez. My best friend's mom lives in Chile and has a hernia in her stomach. She has been in pain for a very long time, and this hernia is growing daily. Sadly, her insurance doesn't cover the surgery, and they don't have the means to pay for it.

Her name is Monica del Carmen Vasquez Anabalon; she is 64 years old, a mother of 3 and a grandma of two. She has a dog and three cats. Currently, she can only eat puréed food, and the doctors are concerned because she needs to get this surgery as soon as possible to survive. The doctor explained that if she didn't get the surgery soon, the hernia could explode, make a hole in her esophagus, and all the content of her stomach could go to her lungs, in which case she would die. The surgery costs $6000 (US dollars).
