Monika Skidmore

Hello, I'm Samuel Skidmore. My Wife Monika Skidmore, age 59 passed away after a very short and unexpected battle with cancer. She was diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma on August 17th and passed 70 days later.

She had survived a prior bout with cancer in 1993, and a brain tumor in 1996. In years afterward she suffered many other medical issues. As a result, it was impossible to obtain life insurance.

She was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church where she donated her time and food to Family Promise, the Do Something Project and No Cook Friday. She prepared home cooked meals to both the Clifton NJ Police Dept. and Slidell LA Police Dept. during the Holidays.

A former member of the United States Army 1982-1986, she prepared food and care packages to our deployed Servicemen/women; both on her own and with Have A Heart-Adopt A Soldier.

Her passing has left us with many unpaid final expenses, we had her Memorial Service with Military Honors on 11/19/2022.
