Monique the helper needs help!

Hi, my name is Andrea. I have worked with Monique for 6 years now. Any time I’ve needed something she has always been there. I’ve watched her buy lunch for those less fortunate, hold hands and pray with those who are scared and witnessed her be the most kind hearted real person.

Monique works as an EMT for PMC. She takes care of her mother, children and grandson. This past 2 weeks have turned her life upside down. Her mother was hospitalized after emergency surgery, her fiancé had a scary health scare emergency, and just when her mother comes home from the hospital, her home was severely damaged by Saturdays microburst storm. Her windows were blown out, as well as other damage to the house, their 3 cars were damaged and her family has been displaced to a hotel in the meantime until damages are assessed and fixed.

Things that we don’t think about when these emergencies happen are the incidentals of living in a hotel. Food, meals, toiletries, basic needs and of course the dreaded deductibles. Monique will have to face all the unplanned financial issues as well as home insurance and 3 car insurance deductibles.

I think someone who has worked so hard and helped so many of us in this community deserves a little helping hand from us. If you can donate, any amount will be appreciated and put to good use. Thank you to all of you!
