Monkeys Tail Amputation Surgery

Monkey is a petite black cat who was running around with an awful tail injury. I spotted her one night while out walking with a friend and we fed her. We went back every night to the same spot at the same time in hopes of finding her again so we could develop a feeding pattern and trap her to get her help.
For the next 2 nights she was nowhere to be found. The next night we found where she was hiding and starting feeding her again. I got lucky and connected with a wonderful woman on Instagram who helped me find where she was. We kept feeding her and connected with another neighbor who let us use their backyard and was keeping an eye out for our injured kitty. We got connected to another woman who helped us trap her.
The next morning she went to the vet and had to have the rest of her tail amputated, she was spayed and the poor thing was pregnant. She is recovering and needs to wear her cone for 10-15 days. We were lucky enough to get her into the vet under a rescue organization but we are covering her bill.
Monkey was saved by a group of strangers who are now bonded for life and we saved her from a painful tail injury and are starting her new chapter in life. After she is healed up, she will go to a foster while waiting to be adopted.
