Help maintain the Monkton Community Dog Park!
Donation protected
Join a group of committed Monkton residents in maintaining ouroff-leash area for our pups. This dog park continues to create opportunities for Monkton residents to socialize with each other while their dogs can get important off-leash interaction and exercise in a safe and fun way. With over 500 canine residents in Monkton and the closest dog park 20 minutes away, Monkton residents and neighbors are enjoying it's own off-leash area for dogs.
The Monkton Community Dog Park is about 1 acre in size located just south and southeast of the Rec Field parking lot on Pond Road with fencing, rules at the entrance and poop stations throughout the park area.
With approval from the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, Monkton Select Board, Vermont Housing and Conservation Board, Vermont Department of Historic Preservation, as well as community members through written feedback and an open house on-site we successfully built our dog park! Maintenance and improvements are an on-going expense, and we need your help to fund these, so we can keep the dog park a safe, happy place for owners and pups to meet and play.
The Monkton Community Dog Park receives no monetary assistance from the Town of Monkton. All construction, maintenance and improvements (i.e., fencing, mowing, poop stations, repairs, etc.) are paid for by grants and private contributions from users and friends of the dog park. We recognize that this is a challenging time, and not everyone is in a place where they can help, your consideration and donation of any amount is appreciated.
Please consider donating to help fund the continued maintenance costs of the dog park. All donations are greatly appreciated and we thank you for your generosity! Through our fiscal sponsor, the Monkton Community Coffee House, your donation may be tax deductible.
