Monogamish Pilot - Proof of Concept

Welcome to the GoFundMe Campaign to finance the production of our proof of concept for Monogamish, an episodic dramedy written by & starring Natalie Shershow, directed by Nellie Spackman and produced by Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg. Our fabulous crew is all set for production in September 2023, but we need YOUR help to get there!

Logline

When the sex lives of long-term college sweethearts Anna and Dominic become stale, they decide to explore the unknown world of polyamory while balancing what it means to be a twenty-something in New York City.

Thematic Statement (aka why you’ll wanna binge-watch the show)

When monogamy becomes too restricting, how does one balance sex and love? In each episode, the characters will face new adventures and challenges in their dating lives, attempting to live a fulfilled life without hurting anyone.

We all know dating (at any age) can be hellish and heartbreaking, yet steamy and stimulating. Follow along as Anna, Dominic and their group of friends navigate the dramatic rollercoaster ride that is dating in your early 20s.

The funds we raise will be used to pay the talent/crew, rent equipment, secure locations, buy props/costumes, provide food for the team on shooting days, travel and post-production.

Meet the Dream Team!

Natalie Shershow - Creator, Writer & Lead Actor

Natalie Shershow is a queer young Mexican-American writer, actor and filmmaker. Shershow has been working in the film industry since before she could tie her shoes. Beginning her career as an actor, she quickly took an interest in the world behind the camera. Her acting credits include: LEVERAGE (TNT), AMERICAN VANDAL (NETFLIX), MY SUMMER AS A GOTH (AMAZON), a music video for THE SHINS: SIMPLE SONG (directed by Oscar-winning directors DANIELS) and more. Outside of her acting work, Natalie has written/ directed/ produced her own short films and web series. Natalie is represented by Take 3 Talent Agency.

Nellie Spackman - Director & Producer

Nellie Spackman is a New York born and raised actress and filmmaker. Since 2013, Nellie has had various roles behind and in front of the camera in over a dozen short films. Her voiceover work can be heard on Insight TV, Nat Geo (Pride Campaign), and several other video games and commercials. Nellie studied acting and film at The William Esper Studio and the Manhattan Film Institute (Bob Krakower, Tony Spiridakis). Select credits include: JUNE (Co-Writer, Actress, Producer), WRENCH (Producer, 1st AD), and ON THE RIDGE, Dir. Ruby Krakower (Producer, Actress). She is thrilled to be making her directorial debut in Monogamish this fall. Nellie is represented by Frontier Booking International, CESD and Sunstorm Talent Management.

Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg - Producer

Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg is a Canadian and Asian-American actress, director, and filmmaker based in New York City and Vancouver, BC. Her directorial debut "A Night Off” (Director, Writer, Producer) premiered at the MFI Film Festival in 2020. TV/Film acting credits include: CHARMED (CW), THE CALLING (Peacock NBC), NO HUMAN INVOLVED, MIDNIGHT SUN, SAM AND CAT (NICKELODEON). Directing/Writing credits include: WRENCH (Director) DEAD END (Co-Directed with Sydney Scotia), IT'S NOT YOU IT'S HER (Co-Written with MK Kopp, Sold to SONY Pictures), and FRACTAL (Director). Kiarra is represented by A3 Artists Agency and Play Management.
