Monroy Family Memorial Fund

As untimely as this pandemic has been for us all, it has been even more so for the Monroy family. In a matter of just a month, this family has had to say unexpected goodbyes to two of its family members because of Covid-19.
In just a few short days, our dear friend Sasha's grandfather, Don Hector, was diagnosed with the virus and passed away abruptly. Sasha, her mother, her sister and the rest of the family were heartbroken over their great loss. Struck with confusion, sadness, anger and sorrow, the three weeks that followed Don Hector's death were difficult for the family. The grieving process had only just begun when suddenly, Sasha's mother, Ingrid, also tested positive for Covid-19. The family was flabbergasted by the diagnosis because Ingrid had done everything right; stayed in her home as much as possible, washed her hands religiously and always wore her mask in the event that she needed to be in public. Nevertheless, Ingrid was prepared and determined to fight this virus, not just for herself, but also for her family who needed her and had already suffered a great deal. Sadly, Ingrid lost her battle to Covid-19 last week. For those who knew her, Ingrid was incredibly strong and she put up a noble fight before she was called home.
The heartbreak has been devastatingly unbearable for Sasha, her husband, sister and other family members. This family has been gripped with such tremendous loss and has seen tragedy unfold around them in an incredibly unprecedented manner. Don Hector and Ingrid are survived by our dear friends, Sasha and Sabrina.
Due to the hardships that this pandemic has caused, we wanted to organize this GoFundMe in honor of Don Hector and Ingrid Monroy to help with any expenses that Sasha, Sabrina and their family are attending to. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will help a young family in need of support as they deal with, arguably, one of the hardest things they will ever face: the sudden loss of their grandfather and mother just weeks apart.
Thank you for your support as we rally together to help ease the stress that these financial circumstances carry with them so that the Monroy family can focus on celebrating the lives of their lost loved ones and navigating the road to healing.
Sincerely,
Alana, Courtney & Maria
