Monte Vacarelli organized by Kirk & Trisha Horan

On Monday, January 16 at approximately 9:30 PM Monte Vacarelli was involved in a very serious motorcycle accident. He was airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. During the flight he went into cardiac arrest. They resuscitated him enroute to the hospital. He came in with collapsed lungs, a fractured septum, broken ribs on both sides, a fractured left hand , a broken right clavicle and his spine fractured between T4- T9 vertebrae . The Florida State Police came to our home at 2:30 am because he had me as his emergency contact. They did not expect he would survive. Monte is alive which is truly a Miracle! He is healing but doctors are very concerned about him being able to walk again with his broken back. He has already had back surgery & we as his friends & loved ones are optimistic he will be a Miracle & walk again. While he will be in the hospital for an unknown amount of time, he has been denied disability due to time at his job being less than a year. Monte followed Trisha & I here to SW Florida. He has started a great life here & we are concerned he could lose all he has. Please consider supporting this fund to help Monte maintain his expenses with so much uncertainty in his future.
