Montefiore Volunteers Help Build a House

A group of Montefiore employees is giving their time one Saturday a month to rehab a house on Cooley Place in Mt. Vernon, NY. The core group of volunteers started working with the Fuller Center a year ago; most of the initial volunteers worked at Montefiore in the Division of Nephrology. Since that time volunteers from many different departments at Montefiore have signed on to work at the house. The volunteers are committed to complete the rehab of the house, to make it shine and make it a great home for a new deserving family who needs affordable housing. Working in the healthcare field we know that you can’t be healthy without a good home and we are using our energies to help a family have a healthy home.

However, we need more than just energy to do this. We need MONEY to complete the house. We need money for new bathrooms, new kitchen and new flooring as well as appliances for the kitchen and laundry room. Please help us raise $25,0000.00 to complete the house. Your donation to the Fuller Center is tax deductible and will go directly to the needs of the house on Cooley place.
