Geiser Family In Need

I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read my sister’s (Shelley Geiser) story. My brother-in-law (Joe Geiser) has been in the hospital’s ICU for some time now. It started out as severe neck pain and has quickly escalated into many different infections including viral meningitis, staph, MRSA, and pneumonia. The doctors thought the antibiotics were working, but the bacteria is continuing to grow and they are still trying to locate the source of infection. The same time that Joe was admitted to the hospital, their furnace stopped working. Due to its age, it is unable to be repaired. They are operating with no working furnace but have managed to open up their fireplace for some heat, and they are using electric heaters to get by. Their youngest child just had a total ACL repair including lateral and medial meniscus repair surgery and needs to be driven to therapy in Akron each week, as her surgery requires her to be non-weight bearing. Joe is the main source of income for their family and has already had to use his vacation for the entire year, and he has no disability benefits through his employer. Once he is discharged, he will most likely not return to work right away, as he is currently using a walker and experiencing memory and other cognitive issues. In addition to normal monthly bills and needing a new furnace, their youngest child is in college and hoping to finish her semester. Joe has always been a person to help anyone who needs it. Shelley and Joe would greatly appreciate any donation as he continues to fight this terrible infection. Prayers are very much needed and appreciated as well.
