Montrose Mini Bus

Hi I’m Katie- Deputy Manager at Montrose Hall Care Home. Over 850,000 people over 65 are affected by dementia in the UK. We are a residential home in Wigan caring for people who are living with dementia. Very often care homes can come with a stigma and when people move in, sometimes people can see this as the end of their social life and that they can no longer enjoy a purposeful and meaningful life. We want to change this stigma and give our residents the best lives possible while living with us. A group of our amazing staff are climbing snowdon on the 23rd September 2023 to raise money for a mini bus to allow our residents to get out in the community and on trips whenever they wish to.
