Montrose Saloon Emergency Staff Relief Fund
Montrose Saloon decided to shut down our nightly music programming just prior to Governor Pritzker's directive to all bars and restaurants in Illinois to cease operations until March 31st (at the earliest; potentially longer) in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Our bartenders, as well as the folks who run sound for our performers, and work the door when we charge our typical $5 weekend cover, will be out of work, and out their wages - and tips - by which many make the majority of their living. We value the hard work, dedication, and in our view - excellence - of our staff, and we are committed to supporting them in every way we possibly can. We will be providing opportunities for our staff to make up some of their lost income through odd jobs around the Saloon, but since we won’t be generating any revenue, we've created this fundraiser in hopes we can alleviate some of the very real economic hardship our employees will suffer from being out of work for an (at this point, unknown / unknowable) period of time.
We truly appreciate our great patrons and we thank you in advance for any generosity you might be able and willing to spare. None of us could do any of what we do - without you! All funds raised through this Go Fund Me will be shared promptly, equitably and entirely with our staff.
Wishing you all good health - and we very much look forward to seeing you on the other side. Peace and love to all.
Eric, Katherine, Dave, Darby, Callie and everyone at the Montrose Saloon
