Moogs Flood Relief

Hi, Dawn here! I'm organizing a fundraiser for Moogs Joint and Moogs Place, two amazing restaurants in Lamoille County, Vermont. These places were both impacted by the recent rainstorm that flooded the area with more rain than has been seen in a century. Moogs Joint was underwater, the basement flooded to the ceiling. They lost so much...merchandise, product, equipment, furniture...everything was soaked and covered in dirt. The electrical panels are all in the basement and needed replacing. We're talking tens of thousands of dollars of damage and loss.

Moogs Place survived the water damage, but the town's water supply was contaminated and they had to work around a "Boil Water" order that was issued.

We were humbled and so grateful to see our community turn out to support both of these restaurants in their time of need, and we are asking that community to help again, if at all possible. Our biggest priority right now is ensuring our staff will have what they need to survive while the Joint is closed. Any additional money that is raised will be used to clean, replace, and restore anything that was damaged.

Update: we are close to re-opening! We have electricity and water flowing now, we just need to ensure that everything is clean and safe for use! We are hoping to have a benefit on Friday, July 21st with a few local musicians, hope you can join us. We cannot wait to see you all, to hug you and thank you and get together with our community again. You are all beyond amazing and we feel the love and are sending it right back out to you!
