Dear Friends, Many have already reached out to say Hi and asked how can we help. From the bottom of my heart, I say “THANK YOU”. I decided to start a campaign because we do and will need help. Mooncake Foods have served the Soho, NYC community for almost 20 years and we hope to serve you all for another 20 years. My name is Kenny Luong and I am a 1st generation Vietnamese American who started a family restaurant and employs other 1st generation Americans. I’m starting a fund raising campaign for our long term employees who have been out of work due to COVID 19 virus and the closing of our restaurant. I have been painfully forced to lay off our employees who have become my extended family and have been part of my team for years. The extremely hard working staff show up everyday with smiles and their can-do work ethic. They put in a hard days work for a good days pay; without notice it’s been quickly taken away. I am extremely worried about them and their means during this crisis; they have food, rent, and families to care for. I am campaigning for all of them. Unemployment insurance is bombarded and our employees have been on hold with funds processing or pending. They have not seen a dollar. I’ve applied  for all types of loans from SBA, Federal, State, and City and we are getting notices of regrets. It’s disheartening to hear most stimulus money went to big chain restaurants and other multi million dollar entities with hundreds of employees. Mom and Pop shops are getting overlooked and getting placed out in the cold. Please help and please share this link to anyone that can help. #smallbusinessrelief
