Victoria's Renewable Energy Future Threatened by Cheap & Outdated Technology
The Regional Victoria Power Alliance has launched the STOP LABOR’S TOWERS campaign. For over three years we have been voicing our opposition to the dangerous and ill-conceived high voltage transmission project the Western Renewables Link (WRL). We now join communities affected by the proposed VNI West transmission line interconnector between Victoria and NSW.
STOP LABOR’S TOWERS targets the owner and decision maker, the Victorian State Government. We continue our fight against AusNet Services and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).
We stand united to Stop Labor’s Towers and we need your support.
Legal Challenge
We know the project is fundamentally flawed and allegedly unlawful, so we are building a legal case against the Victorian State Government
Your donation will help us have our day in court and Stop Labor's Towers.

About the WRL and VNI West
To favour energy providers, shareholders and a quick politcal win for the Government, the Australian Energy Market Operator and AusNet proposed outdated technology via the fastest and cheapest route.
If this project goes ahead, it will set a horrible precedent for governments to use cheap, outdated and dangerous technology right across Victoria.
We are extremely proud to live in a region that is supplying the renewable energy to power Victoria for decades to come, but will not support a project like the WRL and VNI West.
We deserve better renewable energy solutions, now and for future generations.
Tell the Energy Minister Lily D’Ambrosio to take this project back to the drawing board and put the transmission lines underground.
