Moorditj Koolangka Fundraiser
The Moorditj Koolangka program was established 20 years ago as an after school get together for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth in the Mirrabooka area. We pick the kids up and drop them home each Wednesday and provide a wide array of activities for the kids spanning visual arts, sport, music and culture.
The program is managed and run by Noongar coordinators ensuring cultural saftey for the chlidren involved, and we strive to connect them to culture and mob as much as possible.
Our NAIDOC project for 2019 was a sucess and we are all still very proud of the resulting video work (When the Earth Was in Darkness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNuWDwgTqco&t=168s ). Because of this and the Covid-19 pandemic we would love to create another fun and enriching photographic based project for the kids this year - All funds raised will go towards making that a possibility as well as the regular program costs.
Please consider helping our koolangka by donating to this grassroots program - Every bit helps!
