Mooresville Christian Academy NC Tax Bill

Hello! My name is Eric Starr.
I live down the road from my good friends Chuck and Janet Moore.
Back in 2009 and 2010 both of my daughters were middle school students at Mooresville Christian Academy. Chuck and Janet started MCA back in 1998 and led MCA up until 2012 when they had to shut it down due to lack of funds. Chuck and Janet led a school centered around Christ for hundreds of children, including my own.
Through it all, Chuck and Janet spent over $300,000 of their own money to try to keep MCA going. They even lost their beautiful farm in Mooresville, NC during this process. Those were some extremely tough times for them. Including the losses of MCA and the loss of their farm, their total losses exceeded $1,000,000.
Through it all, MCA has incurred enormous tax bills (both federal and state) and in the end, Chuck and Janet are the ones the government is coming after for unpaid taxes. The federal tax bill situation for MCA is resolved…thank God because it was enormous; however, Chuck and Janet have been notified that they still owe the NC Department of Revenue $10, 606.73. Chuck and Janet do not have the money to pay for this.
Chuck now works as a school bus driver for the local school system. They did not ask me to start this GoFundMe. They don’t love the idea of me doing this for them but they also don’t have the money to pay this tax burden themselves. The government has now notified Chuck they they intend to start garnishing his school bus driver wages until this tax bill is paid.
They have been extremely gracious and generous givers for many, many years and I wanted to start this campaign to try to help them out of this financial jam. Will you join me in blessing them by giving what you can to this GoFundMe? I’d love it if we could wipe out this entire tax bill; Any amount that you could give would help.
