Moorlinch Money
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Anne Farmer, chairman of Moorlinch Parish Meeting. As our village is on a very lowly rung of the local government ladder we don't have access to any funding. Yet from time to time as a community we incur expense - such as new batteries (about £100 worth) for the defibrillator, repairs to village noticeboards, and provision of road grit bins. Not necessarily exciting but nevertheless important. People have stepped up in the past to help out but it would be better if we could share the cost a bit more equitably. So I would like to open up a fund where residents could make a modest contribution, if they are willing, to Moorlinch Money. My colleague Lis Oliver, the clerk of the Village Meeting, and I reckon £500 would enable us to keep afloat financially for a couple of years. Our Previous clerk Tony Leigh is willing to help us out on the accounting front and make good use of your contributions. .Please help!..
