Moose needs cancer treatment
Donation protected
My name is Emily, and my dog is Moose. Moose is a five year old 155lb leonberger dog that's been diagnosed with osteosarcoma. He loves plastic bottles, yard flamingos, car rides, and finding as many new smells as possible. We're devastated that our buddy is in pain and seeking to control that as much as we can.
The cost of treatment, for a dog of this size, is enormous, and my family and I are determined to give Moose his best quality of life and comfort. The higher end of treatment may cost as much as 14,000 USD: a combination of radiation, chemotherapy, possible amputation, and lab work.
All of the money raised will go directly to treating Moose's cancer; should that be exceeded, our intention is to find a non-profit that supports cancer research in dogs.
I don't think I need to explain to someone why this is important to me. Moose is a member of our family, like most dogs are to their people, and extremely loved. My hope though is that something good will come from this situation, that Moose gets more good time or that he is able to test a promising new treatment. I hope it leads to less people dealing with this going forward.
Anything helps, even a single dollar or a single share, and hug your pets tight: no matter how much time you get, it would never be enough, but cancer is just unfair.
