Morgan Jameson for YDA

I am Morgan Jameson and I am seeking the opportunity to serve on the DNC as a representative of the Young Democrats of America.
The election will take place at the end of June and the person selected by the National Committee of YDA will serve a two year term.
My Platform is as follows:
1. Shake up the Democratic Party: we are the movement
Our party needs to shake up how our candidates campaign. We can not continue to do things as they have always been done. We need to be investing in cutting edge technology and taking chances by thinking and working outside the box. This includes messaging, not just what we say but how we say it and how volunteers and voters relate to it.
This change must start at the local level, not from the top down. With our local chapters we can talk to voters, listen and learn from them and instill in them that the Democratic Party is still the party for the people.
We cannot sit around and wait for these changes to happen.
2. Inspire passion and elect passionate candidates
We must work within the party to identify community leaders and party leaders who are passionate about the party and are inspiring to others.
We need leaders and representatives to be a messenger for the party. More importantly we need people to want to listen. I hope to help reignite the party and work with passionate people from every level of the party.
3. Establish ourselves (Young Democrats) as a driving force in the 2018-2020 elections
Young Democrats are the movement. We bring the change to the table well before it is adopted. We need to continue to push the envelope and work within our capacity to deliver electoral results. We are not just work horses for the party and candidates, we are equal stakeholders.
We have a choice in 2018 to continue the status quo or forge a new path ourselves. Grassroots campaigning is crucial and it’s where YDA excels
We need to continue to strive at what we do best, getting out the youth vote. We all know that when we communicate with an intersectional message not only does it inspire young people to vote, it also croses generations. We must continue to lead by example.
4. Connect DNC to state chapters
Each state and each state chapter is unique. There is not a one sized fits all method that works. We need the DNC to work with our state chapters to develop and implement strategies for success.
