Honoring Morgan Leigh Harris
Tax deductible
Morgan Leigh Harris was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, on March 1, 1984. At age 3, she came with her sister, Alexis Chanelle Harris, to the adoptive home of Forrest E. and Jacqueline B. Harris. Morgan unexpectedly transitioned from this life on January 16, 2024. Morgan graduated from Nashville’s Hillsboro High School and attended Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee.
A bright, glowing smile was Morgan's signature personality trait. Morgan’s way of self-determination, pressing forward against failures, never was allowed to diminish her broad smile and a sense of pride, overcoming the struggles of life. Her last place of employment was as a Housing Specialist with Woodbine Community Organization. She was excited about a recent promotion to Housing Specialist, helping low-income people navigate affordable homeownership and rental readiness.
Because Morgan Harris worked hard to ensure persons had access to stable, and affordable housing, in celebration and in honor of her life, Morgan’s family is asking that you support The Housing Fund of Nashville in her honor. The mission of The Housing Fund is to provide resources and creative leadership to help individuals and communities create and maintain affordable and healthy places to live.
Visitation and memorial service information will be shared as it becomes available. Please keep our family in your prayers as we support each other through this difficult time.
