Morgan & Ty Urgently Need Your Help

Hello...

We're Morgan & Ty Costello.

Let us start with...this is the most awkward and dreaded request either of us have ever made. We're desperate, though, and have exhausted all of our personal resources, as well as family assistance.

Many of you are aware of my (Morgan) many health issues that have arisen these past few years. For those who are not as familiar, on July 15, 2021 I had a spine surgery that not only destabilized my lower vertebrae, forcing me into what will be a lifelong chronic pain condition with many more surgeries; doctors also believe this was the catalyst that triggered an autoimmune response in my body.

These last 3 years I've been diagnosed with Eosinophilic Asthma, Hypogammaglobulinanemia (IgG Deficiency), Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia, Congestive Heart Failure, Reactive Arthritis, RLS, Seizures--and at the root of it all, a very rare disease called Behcets (Beh-shets). Only about a thousand people are diagnosed each year, and it predominantly affects Middle Eastern men. Suffice it to say, I'm a very pale Irish-American female...so...lucky me?

Apart from the countless hospitalizations, doctor's visits, MRIs, CTs, X-rays and ultrasounds racking up the bills, both Ty and I have had car accidents resulting in one totaled car and another severely damaged. We've each lost our jobs. Ty was unemployed this year for 6 months and I became unemployed on Sept. 23rd. Life hasn't cared, though, and the bills have kept coming. We've dodge eviction a few times, but right now, I'm not sure we can avoid it. We've been blessed by family, friends and our church when we've needed it, but we know we will always be operating from this pit of debt that we cannot get out of. If we could step into December with a "clean slate," we'd have a chance to breathe where we haven't in a very long time.

The most immediate need right now is our November rent. We are currently 5 days past due and if we haven't paid by the end of this week, we'll be facing another eviction notice. The next thing is my upcoming spine surgery pre-op amount, followed by electricity, car payments (facing repossession), and insurance. Even litter and food for Abe. We can't fathom asking anyone to help us pay the full amounts or even all of our bills, but got to thinking, what if lots of people were willing to help us with a little each? Maybe then we could do it.

So that's our ask. Would you be willing to help us? We would not be doing this if we hadn't explored as many other possible avenues as we have. On paper, our household income is just over what would qualify us for assistance in many instances. We just don't know what else to do.

We are so grateful for all of you--our friends and family. Please do not feel bad if you cannot tangibly support us. Your prayers and positive encouragement is equally as valuable.
