MORGAN & UNICEF Ukraine Fundraiser
Donation protected
With the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, MORGAN will be partnering with UNICEF Ukraine to assist with providing vital humanitarian supplies to reach vulnerable children and families in the region. UNICEF Ukraine works to provide essential services including health, education, protection, water and sanitation to the citizens affected by the conflict. It is estimated that 2 million people have fled Ukraine as refugees in the last 14 days.
The Morgan Family has also agreed to match up to $5,000 of the amount we are able to raise. Everyone who has heard the MORGAN story knows that this crisis and region is an important part of the family history. From our CEO, Philip Morgan:
My grandfather and his family were victims of persecution by the Nazis. He was from Eastern Europe in a part of Poland very close to today’s Ukrainian borders. Seeing what is currently happening in Ukraine is heartbreaking and a scary reminder that we still have a long way to go as a global society. My grandfather came to the US after the Holocaust as the only survivor of his family. He is most proud of his role in founding the Holocaust Museum in Houston and its commitment to education about the Holocaust and all types of persecution to prevent future acts of violence. Our family is deeply saddened by the horrific tragedy that is ongoing in Ukraine with Russia’s invasion. War is never the answer.
