Morgan's bags of blessings

Donation protected
Many months ago our world was struck with Covid 19. All of us had our worlds turned upside down. We were unable to gather with friends, go out in the community, some of us couldn't even go to work or Church. The places we had once considered safe were not and the people we were once not afraid to be around now we had to stay 6 feet apart from and even worry where they had been. Covid was in part reason for our homeless community growing. Mom's, Dad's, Grandparents, even children were now homeless.  A few months back Morgan really felt a calling to do  something to care for the homeless and forgotten in our community. That is when Bags of Blessings was born. Morgan started a grassroots effort to sell crafted leather earrings turning the money into items that would fill these blessing bags. I will say that this 14yr old girl worked super hard to raise the money to fill 50 bags. These bags contained things like gloves, hats, socks, hygiene products, snacks, even a can of soda and more.
Morgan very quickly distributed these bags throughout the homeless community. It was on one of the distribution days that we met Carol. Carol is a homeless lady in her 70's. When Carol received her bag she began to weep. Carol looked up and said I can take just about anything but, she can not deal with her feet cold and hurting. Carol was blessed most by the socks at that moment. through conversation with Carol we discovered she was wearing size 8 shoes but really needed a size 9.5. Her feet were so bunched up in her shoes that she could barely walk but without her feet were too cold.  We left Carol and told her not to go far.
We took a quick drive to a footlocker store on the plaza and shared with the manager what and why we were looking for. He showed us a pair of brand new Columbia boots for sale. We agreed to make the purchase eager to get them back to Carol. That is when he surprised us and sold us those brand new boots for only $9.98 discounted from $100.00. We thanked him and ran those boots back up to Carol. Carol hugged those boots and then quickly put them on.
You see there are many more Carol's in this world and Morgan is on a mission to reach as many as we can. Morgan's first goal was to reach 50 people. Done!
Morgan's new goal is to reach 1500 more people this year. You do the math. For only $10 you can provide a blessing bag to someone in need. Please partner with Morgan in providing a blessing this year. We have faith that God will meet the needs of His people. We just want to act upon his calling to change the way our friends in the homeless community end their day.

Blessings to each of you!
Morgan !
