Morgan's Kidney Transplant Fund

Morgan Benavidez has been my best friend for 17 years. I have never met a more loving,  selfless, free spirited individual.  She is the mama to one beautiful boy, and works so incredibly hard to be everything to him. She is self driven and independent ( so much so that I had to twist her arm and pull her teeth just to let me start this GoFundMe on her behalf). For as long as I have known Morgan (and well before that) she has struggled to find out what was wrong with her health. In and out of doctor's offices for years, she finally received some answers when she was 21, her kidneys were losing function . After a high risk pregnancy, she lost more of her kidney health, and she was told she would need to be constantly monitored. As of six months ago she was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease, and her kidneys were close to failure.  She's been on a waiting list for a transplant  since January 2020, and recently, received the life saving news that one of her closest friends was her match, and they will go into surgery this month. To this day she has covered her medical expenses, thousands of dollars, without asking for any help, and absolutely no complaints. If you know her, there's a good chance you never even knew the battle she has been fighting, because she carries herself with such grace and bravery. Though insurance covers a great portion of her medical expenses, there is a good deal she will be paying out of pocket. I convinced her how badly her friends and family would want to help her, not out of obligation, but because we love her so darn much. The last thing I want her to worry about after surgery, and through the months of recovery, is medical expenses. She is my first true love, and I know the blessing she is to every person she meets. If it's on your heart, I urge you to give whatever you can to ease this massive burden, and give peace of mind to our beautiful girl, so she need only focus on rest and recovery.
