#MorgsArmy needs your help

Hey everyone, my name is Emma and I've started this page to fundraise for an amazing family, who despite already going through the unthinkable, have now been dealt another blow, and need us - the community - now more than ever. They've given so much of themselves to help others, regardless of what they were going through, now they need us.

#MorgsArmy a term some of you may be familiar with, for those of you who are not, let me give you the short version (full history can be found on various online platforms for Morgan's Army)

Morgan is a 3 year old from Swansea, Wales who was diagnosed with a rare cancer AAC (Adrenocortical carcinoma) in October 2021.

Parents Nat and Matt found it so very hard to get Morgan assessed properly by medical professionals, after first being dismissed and told the changes in their little boy (weight gain amongst other things) were a result of their own actions, they finally got heard after having to go private.

A large tumour was found in Morgan's abdomen, and he was later diagnosed with cancer. Morgan under went major surgery in Dec 2021 to remove the tumour. Unfortunately the cancer had spread from his abdomen to his lungs and Morgan had to undergo further surgery on his lungs. In addition he had to endure a gruelling course of chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, along side other treatments.

During Morgan's treatment it was also discovered that he had Li–Fraumeni syndrome. This is a rare, autosomal dominant, hereditary disorder that predisposes carriers to cancer development. Following this discovery the whole family was screened, Nat thankfully was clear, but Matt and Rhi were both found to have the same condition. This news on top of everything else they've had to deal with was- as you can imagine- heartbreaking.

Nat and Matt have handled everything with the strength no one should have to find, especially with welcoming their daughter, Morg's sister, Rhi during Morgan's treatment. But not only did they have to cope with every hand dealt to them as a family, they then proceeded to raise approximately £50,000 for various charities in Morgan's name (#MorgsArmy), which has now been made an official charitable organisation.

The local community rallied round them to support where they could, along with a worldwide following over social media platforms they've truly proven that 'No one fights alone'.

Until more recently everything seemed on the up for Morgan and his family, but sadly his most recent scans have shown that there is a new tumour in his abdomen, and another possibly in the lungs. This is the last news anyone wanted to hear, or should have to hear after everything they've already had to endure.

This is where asking all of you amazing people for help comes in. Unfortunately, as you can imagine, financially things have been a struggle, but in light of this new information and diagnosis there are now very little options -especially work based- for the family to stay a float financially while still prioritising Morgan and Rhi as they need to. No family should be penalised for having a sick child.

After all they have done to help other families while they themselves were struggling I'm asking if anyone in a position to do so, could help me give back to them, to help them in yet another difficult time in their lives. I understand things are tight for everyone based on the current situation, but every little helps.
