Hi Everyone!

My name is Athena Valentine Lent, and I started this GoFundMe to help one of my best friends, Moriah Joy Chace.

In the early morning of February 26th, 2023, Moriah was involved with a hit-in-run driver, causing her to roll her car several times toward a cliff. After being cut out of the vehicle by first responders, she was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A medical examination revealed a fracture in her skull towards her temporal lobe. This fracture caused her to hemorrhage in her choroidal artery, resulting in complete hearing loss in her left ear and the inability to walk.

Moriah has since been in the ICU and can now come home. However, she has a long journey ahead of her. Due to her injuries, she cannot work for eight weeks, cook for her family, hear, or walk. Now she faces medical bills, physical therapy to relearn how to walk, and the inability to cover her living expenses.

How the funds will be used: $3,000 will be used towards medical bills, and $2,000 will be used towards her living expenses and transportation for her follow-up medical visits. Any donation is not too small when you're part of a community. I thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon.
