Morris County Housing Support
Donation protected
Mutual Morris has been providing emergency mutual aid relief to thousands of families across Morris County since early 2020 at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. As bad as the last two years have been for our health and finances, now we are moving into another wave of crises: evictions. The moratorium on evictions in New Jersey has expired and while there may be state assistance for rent payments that were missed last year, many of our families are already behind on this month's rent and need our community to support them.
We will use this space to raise funds for specific families who are ineligible for other supports to help them avoid eviction, or can't wait for government help, and the amount will rise as each family gets added to our list.
First is a long-time Mutual Morris member who was injured on the job and is working with other organizations to try to get the wages that are still owed to him by the employer of that job. He is a single father of an 8-year-old son and he is trying hard to find a new job. He is currently in need of $450 to cover January's rent to avoid homelessness with his son.
We greatly appreciate your help during these difficult times. If you are in Morris County, New Jersey, and in need of help yourself, please feel free to message us. If you'd like to volunteer, we would also love to hear from you.
Stay safe and take care.
