Donation protected
My name is Rishonna and this go fund me is for my father who was lost to a senseless act of gun violence this February. The funds donated to this will be used to assure that Morris McQuay is put to rest the way him and his children intend. On February 14th our father was rushed to Einstein Hospital at around 4:30 in the morning with multiple critical gunshout injuries. He was attacked and while multiple shots rung out, his four children were awoken from thier beds inside their home. He was rushed to the hospital were he was put on a ventialator, stabilized but remained in critical condition for hours. On the morning of February 15, we woke up hoping for good news to recieve the call that our father had tragically passed at around 2:20 that morning. He is much missed and still needed, and we are doing everything in our power to guarentee that his burial and memorial service can make him proud and be what he intended. We hope that our community can rally around us, and that we can pull strength from those who have faced our pain. He was only 43 years old with many happy years full of memories ahad of him. He was a passionate artist and poet, spent four years building a motorcycle alone from scratch that became one of his favorite achievements, he was funny and loved to spend time flexing his cooking skills on anyone who wanted to take on the challenge. He was a father of nine, a first generation college student hoping to Finnish persuing his degree, he was smart and crazy and will be missed by more than he could know. Our mother he fathered five children with passed from suicide in 2016 so his arrangements have fallen to me his eldest daughter. I am doing everything in my power to make sure he is mourned in the way he saw fit and ask that even if you cannot contribute to please repost and share to help shed light on this tragedy. This is the only go fund me for his arrangements so please let me know if you see any fraud pages. I hope that we may soon see him get the justice he deserves and put him to rest so he may be remembered for all that he was. We love you dad and you will be missed.
