Morristown Skatepark

Hello everyone. As many of you may know, Cultivate Skate Shop opened in July 2022 and has provided an immense amount of support for the growing skateboard community. We will continue to fight for a permanent skatepark in Morristown, as the number of skaters continues to grow at an exponential rate. The beauty behind skateboarding is that it is for everyone, from children to full-grown adults where they can all occupy the same space freely and enjoy the same sport. This is not something you see elsewhere, skateboarding brings together people who enjoy challenging themselves. Cultivate will continue to educate the public about the importance skateboarding has on the community and shed light on the talent that we have personally witnessed in our store.

In the meantime, we have been permitted to host skate events in town, and we have finally found our first location. Unfortunately, we will have to pay a premium to get the permits and insurance to host the skate event for a single day as well as having to provide the skate ramps, rails, boxes, kickers, food and everything else related to the event. We believe by hosting these events, the need for a permanent skatepark will manifest.

We come before you all humbly to ask for help to do so. The money will be spent on purchasing all the materials, labor, and all costs associated. Once this event kicks off and everything goes well, we will be able to continue providing everyone in town with a safe place to skate as well as bringing more awareness to how important it is to allow skateboarders freedom to practice their sport in a designated area just how every other sport in Morristown has a safe place.
