Morse Men 4 Mom

Hello, this is the Morse Men 4 Mom fundraiser. I'm Khadeeja Morse and I've created this fundraiser to help my husband and his brothers rebuild their family’s homestead after Hurricane Ian.

Michael’s parents, Howard and Christine Morse, bought the land in the Jim Crow South era. His dad paid to have the frame built, then he and his five sons, built the interior from the sheetrock to the floors.

Hurricane Ian left the house in the same state it was when their father initially had it built. The frame of the house survived the storm, but the inside was lost to the flooding. Gone are 6 decades of family memories, pictures, furniture everything about their past except their hearts, souls and spirits.

Unfortunately, there was no flood insurance, so all the costs to rebuild will have to come from the family. My husband and his brothers are determined to rebuild their house so their 88-year-old mother, Christine, can return to their family homestead, hopefully even better than it was before.

We’ve set a goal of $150,000 and appreciate every donation, no matter the size. I will be posting updates on my social media channels using the hashtag #mm4m so you can track our progress.
