New Computer / Mortgage Hell

Donation protected

In September 2016, Jesse Osborne-Lanthier's mother passed away from a long and arduous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and several strokes. Unfortunately his sister and himself inherited $80000+ dollars of mortgage + debt.  For the better part of the last three years, he has been able to sustain himself by working as a freelance producer, tourin and recording musician, sound-designer, curator, DJ, sound engineer, graphic designer and illustrator, offering sliding-scale rates for the electronic music and art communities locally and abroad.

Since November 2018, he has been unable to make enough money to sustain the mortgage payments along with his rent, food, equipment maintenance and upgrades. Now the bank (who does not care one's about loss, mourning and dire financial situations) is threatening to seize his mother's property along with its assets, not only risking losing the house and the opportunity to sell it, but also being detrimental to an already very damaged credit.

To make things worst, his computer which is his main tool and source of income has recently been extremely malfunctioning, causing him to be unable to finish various freelance contracts on time and slowing down his entire workflow, inhibiting from being able to sustain a proper reliable income. After numerous attempts to solve this issue with the help of various online sources and computer repair shops, the problem persists and is only getting worst. Most outlets have recommended that he either purchases a new computer or fixes the faulty components which Jesse cannot afford.

He is asking the communities he is involved in and shared so much with, to help donate to the funding of a new work-tool, to be able to get back on his feet financially and continue his career. Amongst the travel costs for international tours; that contribute to his salary, rent + amenities, food and practice costs, he is obviously unable to pay for this out of his own pockets. He is not asking for his peers to pay for his late mother's mortgage but rather for help in purchasing the tools that will help in carry-on with work initiatives and engagements.

It is never easy nor fun to ask for donations, it is a last resort situation. He is willing to give donors his entire discography for free. Jesse leaves for an Asia tour in less than 3 weeks and would ideally be able to have a fully functional computer before the 1st of June.
