Morty needs ACL surgery!

Against my fear of asking for help, I’ve decided to set this up. My name is Elly, and if you know me, you’ve heard me gush about how cute and crazy my little nugget, Morty, is. He’s so active, and also so sweet and snuggly.

Like any other day, my mom was throwing a ball for Morty in her back yard, he ran after it, then suddenly yelped, and was dragging his back legs for a moment. I ran over, and he was limping.

I brought him to the vet as soon as I could (the next day) and we found out he had partially torn his CCL. He’ll need surgery to correct it, but we’ll be managing this injury for the rest of his life. I was also told there’s a high chance of this same injury happening to his other leg.

If you can spare even just a few dollars, I would be so grateful. I wasn’t prepared for the cost of a surgery like this! The vet tech estimated the surgery would cost between 2,700- 3,000. All funds will go directly to his surgery, and if there’s anything left over, it will be donated to the humane society. I just want my zoomie boy zooming again!
