Art Relief Volunteer - Thailand

I'm raisng funds to go on a 4 week Art Placement with Art Relief International in Chiang Mai, Thailand. This is something I have wanted to do for a few years after personally benefiting from using Art as Therapy. 

I'm going as a volunteer and will be developing and running art workshops to help transform the lives of struggling social groups in Chiang Mai by offering them the opportunity to express themselves through an artistic lens.

Some of the groups that I'll be working with will be:

Displaced Burmese refugees and migrant workers
Indigenous tribal groups
Single mothers in crisis
Direct and indirect victims of HIV/AIDS
Gay and transgender community
Children with disabilities

I've written about it here Creative Volunteer Adventure and will be capturing the whole journey using various media and sharing my experience. I'm like an excitable puppy and am so happy to be finally makig this happen!
