Help Scott- Mosi's Real Journey to Heal

Donation protected
Dear family and friends,

It is time for an update and a brand-new chapter in my life. It is time to bring sunlight, community, love, and truth into my daughter’s life. It is time to surround her with the full force of brilliant support I can bring into her life as her father.

On March 27th CPS/DHS opened an investigation into a situation regarding my children that I have been gravely concerned about and working to change for years. Despite my best efforts, up until a week ago, my daughter had not left her bedroom or had an in-person medical evaluation for 2 1/2 years.

On Monday April 7th, she was removed from her mother’s care, placed in mine, and taken straight to a hospital in Medford.

As I and many medical providers have strongly advocated for over the last three years, she has been transferred to a pediatric hospital in Portland and is receiving intensive wrap-around care. I am overwhelmed with gratitude that she is in my protection and is finally getting the care and attention she needs.

As many of you know firsthand, my daughter is incredibly full of life, brilliant, creative, and full of love. I will not allow that to be extinguished. I am so grateful she is in the right place right now and I will never stop working to secure her bright future. She is surrounded by teams of specialized doctors that are the best in the world at what they do. This week, we have an in-person care conference with no less than 10 experts in their respective medical fields, bringing their full wrap around attention to my daughter.

I am actively engaged in ongoing court proceedings to advocate and win results that are in the best interest of my children. To secure my daughter‘s safety, and to give her the opportunity of a vibrant healthy life, the truth must be known in court. This requires lawyers, and lawyers require money.

Currently, I am in Portland working with the medical teams and my daughter around the clock, while continuing to care for both of my boys at home in Grants Pass. My daughter has regressed to an alarming state, but there is hope and optimism in her, and within these teams of doctors that she does have a path and chance of getting back up on her feet.

I will not be able to work for the foreseeable future and being self-employed I do not qualify for paid leave. I humbly ask for your help during this time so I can continue to be here for my daughter, and maintain as normal a life as possible for my boys at home. Donations will be used to cover legal fees (they are extensive), transportation to and from different hospitals, temporary housing, and regular monthly expenses while I am unable to work for the next 4-6 months.

Please know that your generosity, whether it be financial or spiritual, means the world to me and my children during this time. I am blessed beyond measure to be a part of this community and I can’t wait to give back to you all with my music, love and support should you need it down the road.

I will try to respond to messages as they come, but due to the nature of hospital life, I might not have capacity to reply right away. Please send words of encouragement through Facebook or Go Fund Me and I will try to post regular updates once things are more stabilized.

Donations can be made through Venmo to @Musicascott or through Go Fund Me.

Blessings,

Scott
