Moskisa Football street kids

Hi, my name is Jonas.

I came to Tanzania three weeks ago, and I am volunteering as a football coach at the Moskisa Academy. The kids at the academy are extremely talented, but they need all the help and support they can get.

Their passion is football, and together they train for several hours a day. However, they don’t have much and share everything, from football shoes to the goals on the field, which they borrow from another school and the training materials that wears out quickly due to rough field conditions.

Besides football, these kids love to learn and dream of finishing their education. Unfortunately, some of them struggle because their families cannot afford school fees or the required school uniforms.

The Moskisa Academy relies heavily on donations as many of the kids come from challenging backgrounds. Financial contributions are especially important to cover essential needs like meals for the kids. While the academy has started a few sustainable projects to generate income, these initiatives are still in their early stages.

The kids at the academy are truly amazing—grateful, talented, clever, and incredibly kind. Any support, no matter how small, can make a big difference in their lives and dreams.
