Allah the Almighty says In Surah At-Taubah verse 18
إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ ۖ فَعَسَىٰ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنْ يَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ
(9:18) The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided
It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow's nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."
On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (ﷺ), who said:
Allah (mighty and sublime be He) said: Spend (on charity), O son of Adam, and I shall spend on you. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim).
Dear Muslim brothers and sisters,
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
In the year 2010 a few brothers realized that in Ozone Park NY Muslim community was growing dramatically. So, we purchased a building costing $360K located at 1239 Belmont Ave. Brooklyn NY 11208 and opened up a Masjid (NYICCI) to benefit and unite the Muslim communities, spread dawah, especially to educate and save our children. At the time of purchasing of this Masjid (NYICCI) one of our generous brother voluntarily loaned $360K, which we are in agreement to pay back $26K per year.
However, For the past 9 years our masjid has been too small to house our large Muslim community , many times in recent years during Jummah prayer people had to pray outside in extreme cold or hot weather, this always hurt us , and we wanted to do something about it.
Alhamdulillah, this Ramadan (2019) we collected enough money to open up another floor to house the Muslims , during our renovation process we added a few additional features for the comfort of the congregations
These features including: Brand new Mitsubishi heating and cooling system, brand new metal stair case, brand new sound system, brand new entrance door, detailed wood work, brand new Mihrab with solid structure and much more.
So we are now asking our brothers and sisters to help fund $30K for this additional work and the Masjid to continue to serve the Muslims.
Please donate generously as this cause is for the sake of Allah Alone , may every Salah , or reading of Quran, or teaching Islamic knowledge or any good at all done at this masjid be on your scale of good deeds , Ameen
